Trending Style Sources

Fashion tips, style inspiration, and online shopping just got a whole lot easier. With so many different social media platforms nowadays, there are so many different resources easily accessible to fashion lovers. But what are the best sources to use? Below, I have ranked my top sources that I have used for years to develop my sense of style. Check them out and leave a comment below to share your thoughts. I love receiving feedback from readers:)

4. Hype Beast

Listed at number 4 is Hype Beast. Hypebeast displays an array of streetwear content via the App Store, Internet, Instagram, TikTok and even magazines. Here, readers can get an inside scoop on what’s new in art, music, fashion and celebrity news. I really admire this media platform in its diversity of what they offer. For instance, there are so many different sections on Hypebeast that inform people on everything trending from footwear to technology. The website discusses the big brands that people like hearing about like Apple, Nike, Off-White etc. For starting out as a small sneaker blog in Hong Kong, Hypebeast sure has come a long way in that they are a key destination for people’s source of pop culture. Shop below some hot picks from their website.

Pool Sliders- Palm Angels
Athletic Club Hoodie- Sporty and Rich
Awake Script Logo Beanie- Awake
Mini Arrow Earrings- Off White
Show and Tell Sunglasses- Bonnie Clyde
Doubled Logo Over T-Shirt- Palm Angels

3. Shoplook

Coming in at my number 4 spot: Shoplook. Shoplook is an app that works like a virtual closet. It allows you to design your own outfits by simply dragging and dropping items to a blank canvas. You can browse a variety of clothes, shoes, accessories and images to your canvas. I find this to be a great way of making outfits in that it enables you to visually see what clothes you are choosing and what looks best with what. This app also allows you to create your own mood or vision board. Yes, in addition to creating outfits for yourself. you can map out your ideal lifestyle. Visuals are such a powerful way of creating the vision you have for yourself.

2. Complex Style

Similar to HypebeastComplex style is an online blog started by Marc Ecko. Ecko originally founded the magazine Complex back in 2002. Complex is best known for their updates in new style drops, breaking celebrity news, album releases and fashion inspiration with a main focus on streetwear culture. Two favorite headlines of mine from Complex Style was their thoughts on the Best Brands of 2022 and How to Properly Style and Lace Jordan 1s. These articles give readers some great tips and are overall a reliable guide to pulling off a dope fit and a fresh pair of Jordans.

1. Pinterest

My number one spot has to go to Pinterest. Pinterest is hands down my favorite app for style inspo and aesthetic creation. I have been using this app for years now and I have been able to successfully manifest and attract an entirely different lifestyle just by looking at visuals and recreating my own version of them. Whether it be in appearance, mentality, or even what I eat, Pinterest is an amazing place for imagination and elevation of yourself. When I say all of this, I am referring to the boards that Pinterest allows you to create. You simply just add images to your customized boards. For example, you can name a board “Fashion Inspo” and add aesthetic images that Pinterest lists for you based on inputted interests. You can also make searches like “leather pants inspo” and so many images will appear. My Pinterest is linked below, feel free to look through my boards to use for inspiration!
